This is for the men that cry. You are not weak. I know men who have been taught to embrace their vulnerability and show their emotion, unapologetically. But I also know men who have been taught it makes you less, it makes you weak, so they’ve learned to bottle it all in. Neither is “right” or “wrong”, but to me, one feels more free, the other feels bound by shackles of shame, pressure, and never having had a safe place to go. 

This piece is about the stigma around showing emotion as a man, how it needs to be broken, and how being vulnerable and in tune with your emotions can be a strength, not a weakness.
